2013 Riesling - SOLD OUT

West Cape Howe WinesVintage Description: A warmer than usual start ...
Winemaking Information:This Riesling was all sourced from our highly regarded Block 6 vines on the Langton vineyard in Mount Barker, which is fast becoming one of the premium Riesling regions in Australia. The fruit was harvested in multiple picks from mid to late February, then crushed and pressed during the cool of the night with only the low extraction free run portion being used for this premium wine. The wine was fermented in 100% stainless steel tanks with a neutral yeast strain and cool temperatures to maximise the aromatic qualities of the wine. Post ferment, the very best parcels from different sections of this block were blended to produce a great example of a classic Mount Barker Riesling.
Fruit Maturity:100% Mount Barker
Colour:Almost transparent with a hint of green hue.
Aroma:Citrus and lime characters with a hint of sherbet.
Palate:Zesty lime and citrus characters with well-balanced natural acidity. While more generous on the palate than the 2012 Riesling, this has a great flavour profile and is still refreshingly crisp with an excellent length on the finish.
Cellar Potential:Drink now for its freshness and purity or cellar for up to 8 years.
